Our Junior 5 & 6 class visited the Tower of London on a gloriously sunny day, accompanied by Mr Walsh and Mrs Shayle.
The Tower was built over the ruins of the Roman wall and used by Henry VIII to execute wives and traitors. The children were given a tour by 'Sir Thomas Seymour'. They had a great time in his company and fortunately no-one lost their head! The crown jewels were spectacular and the hands on display in the White Tower was great fun. Sadly there were no ghosts around in the Bloody Tower, but ice-creams & lollies on the way home made up for that! |
