All Year 10 and 11 students take non-examinable courses in P.S.C.H.E (including Careers and Citizenship) and P.E.
All prospective Senior pupils sit an entry test in English, Maths and Science.
Pupils with Special Educational Needs are taught within our Senior classes, but we do not have specialist staff or facilities for providing tuition in separate groups. Similarly, pupils for whom English is an additional language are taught with our Senior classes, but we do not have specialist staff to provide additional help. We are willing to welcome input from outside agencies such as the Dyslexia Institute; and we allow pupils to attend tutorials during curriculum time.
Pupils in the senior department receive merit marks for good work and behaviour, and de-merits for unacceptable performance. Full details of our Code of Conduct, including our policy on suspensions and exclusions, can be found on our website.
